The Westridge Campus
Westridge Program Highlights
At Westridge School, PFS girls in 5th and 6th grade experience fun, educational, engaging, and memorable summers that help them develop valuable academic and life skills. Students take courses that deepen their skills in math, technology, science, reading, and writing. Attention is given to developing the whole child and helping students develop confidence in their voice. In addition to core academic classes in math and technology, science, and English, students take physical education classes each day and participate in afternoon enrichment courses. Students build their engineering and design skills in woodworking and robotics. Special field trips are planned to local museums and community centers such as the Natural Museum of History, Descanso Gardens, and the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center. Summer highlights also include an annual Career Day, Pajama Day, Costume Day, and a Science Olympiad.
Summers at Westridge allow PFS students to strengthen their academic skills and connect with 5th and 6th grade girls from other elementary schools within PUSD. They build community and work closely with caring and dedicated educators, PFS alumni, and graduates of independent schools in our partnership.
